Pumpkin Patch

A day before Halloween we were finally able to take a minute to go to the pumpkin patch.  Our church in puts this together every year.  They must order thousands of pumpkins and all of the local school bring their students as a field trip, so it's really a big deal.  They always setup a cute little photo area and a maze with strawbales and tunnels.  They really do a good job.  A, surprisingly, didn't know what to think.  She really had a problem with the loose pieces of straw on the floor.  When I set her down she just stood there.  She would look up at us and then back down at the straw, almost like she was stuck and didn't know how to move.  After a little time she realized that the hay wasn't going to hurt her and exploring was no longer a problem.

Here is A's perfect little pumpkin.  Grandma found it for her and she loved it.  Here you she her chewing on the stem, which she later bites off.

We actually got to the patch just in time because the church members were taking everything down.  We got our pumpkins at a discounted price.  Hmm, maybe we should do that every year seeing as once you carve the pumpkin they last for maybe 3 days down here in Louisiana.
